What’s for dinner? Well, at my house were having Crawfish Pie. I’m lucky to have a few pounds of peeled crawfish in my freezer. During crawfish season after we have a crawfish boil my husband and I usually peel the leftover crawfish to store to use in some of our favorite recipes. If you don’t have peeled crawfish tails in your freezer, don’t worry there are lots of stores that sell packaged crawfish tails especially if you happen to live here in Louisiana.
If your not able to find crawfish in your neck of the woods ask your local grocer if they can order it for you. Also, I found a few places online that you can order cooked crawfish tails year round to use in your recipes. I haven’t ordered crawfish online before, so I can’t recommend a particular retailer to you. Anyways, here’s the recipe for Crawfish Pie. I’m sure you’ll want to try making it! It’s delicious! I love the spicy crawfish with the flaky pie crust…. mmm-mmm good!
You can pair this delicious crawfish pie with a salad or vegetables of your choice. Add a little cayenne pepper or Louisiana seasonings to the ingredients if you want it spicy. Here in New Orleans we like our food spicy unfortunately, not everyone’s stomach can handle a lot of spice!
