Coney Island Chili Cheese Hot Dog

This quick and easy Coney Island Chili Cheese Hot Dog recipe tastes delicious and makes the perfect meal to serve at cookouts during summer.



  • 68 hot dogs
  • can chili
  • cheddar cheese
  • 68 hot dog buns
  • 1 cup white onion; diced
  • yellow mustard


  1. Place hot dog on a warm skillet or indoor grill, and cook on all sides about 2 minutes total. Or you could grill the hot dogs outside on an outdoor grill. You could also steam or grill the hot dogs. 
  2. Microwave the chili or cook on stovetop for the time directed on the can. Place hot dog into the bun. You can steam or grill the hot dogs buns for a few minutes until they’re warm. 
  3. Top with chili, cheese, onions, and mustard.




You can use homemade chili instead of can chili if you want. Make sure to use chili without beans.
