First of all , let me apologize for how my Stuffed Football Pizza Pie looks. I have been  extremely exhausted the last few days, due to insomnia. I should have known  better before I started making the Stuffed Pizza Pie. I was amazed that it  came out tasting as good as it did. Not once but, twice I forgot to put the Cheese in before closing it. So, three times  I unrolled  the dough trying carefully not to tear or make the dough fall apart. The first time , I opened it I  forgot to put the cheese in it. Second time, I opened it and closed it back again …Yes , I forgot the cheese again. Third time and last , finally I remembered the cheese. I was so ready for this to be cooked. I thought about throwing it away and calling Papa John’s Pizza !! Would you have quit or finished making it ?

What you need to make it:

1-2 pounds Ground Italian Sausage  , 1-2 pouches of Pepperoni , 2-4 Cups of Cheese of your choice, 1 slice of Mozzarella Cheese, 1/2 – 1 jar of Pizza Sauce, Melted Butter , 1-2  Pillsbury Pie Crust depending on if your making one or two Stuffed Pizza Pies . *Optional Mushrooms, Onions, Black Olives. I did not add any seasoning .

Saute  the  vegetables and set aside. Next, brown the Italian Sausage. Once the meet is cooked mix in the vegetables . Remove from the stove.

Spray a cookie sheet with a non-stick spray like Pam . Place your dough onto cookie sheet . Next, spread on  pizza sauce as much as you like. Now, use 1 pouch of pepperoni and put a layer of
pepperoni on top of the pizza sauce.  After, take the meat and vegetable mixture and place on top of the pepperoni down the center of the dough. Now, don’t forget the CHEESE ! Use 2 cups of cheese and place  on top of the meat mixture. Next, carefully shape and fold your dough over the top of the meat and cheese mixture forming it into a football. Brush a little melted butter on top of the dough and with fingers close ends and top .
Bake the Stuffed Pizza Pie in the oven on 325 degrees until lightly golden brown. Slice the Mozzarella Cheese Slice into 1 large stripe and 2 small stripes and place on the Stuffed Pizza. (All I had was a cheese stick).

This may not look great but it was delicious and a hit with my football fans.  Please don’t forget the cheese. Would love to know how your football fans like this recipe if you try it.
